In 1976, voters decided on nine statewide ballot measures in South Dakota on the September 7 and November 2, 1976 ballots.
- Seven (78%) of the measures were legislatively referred constitutional amendments.
- Two (22%) of the measures were initiated state statutes.
- Six (67%) of the measures were approved, and three (33%) were defeated.
